IN DEFENSE OF THE NEW MIDDLE EAST:
A
NEO-INTERNATIONALIST PERSPECTIVE
This
book is compiled from more than 100 articles by
Nassim Yaziji, the
researcher specialized in international relations and the Middle
East. Most of those articles were written in the late 2008 and
the early 2009.
They cover and approach a wide range of subjects and key
political developments, classified into several themes include
the Neo-Internationalism, the Middle East geopolitics, Iraq,
Lebanon, Iran, the Palestinian question, Syria, international
affairs and finally a tribute to freedom. They are distributed
to several chapters according to these themes.
They reflect a modern perspective by the author on the
contemporary international relations, the international order
and the Middle East, which occupies the focal interest of this
book.
Eventually, this book produces a domestic genuine understanding,
perspective and approach to the Middle East and its key
realities, based on a scholarly and specialist methodology of
the author. This methodology applies basically political realism
and an empirical approach.
Where applicable, the ideological approach of the author rests
on political realism and the principles of Neo-Internationalism
as defined by the author himself.
This book, especially through its Middle Eastern origin,
significantly contributes to reaching a transparent
understanding of the post-Iraq Middle East, its key realities,
geo-strategic changes and geopolitics in the current
international context that eventually enables an empirical
realistic insight into the Middle East's political affairs and
realities, and an advanced, realistic and productive Middle East
approach and strategy.
